Antonina Shevchenko
Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial arts artist, and is a competitor with the UFC flyweight division. She is the older sister of the fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sport career in the form of a Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title and beat Suzane Miller in the finals via one-sided decision. Antonina was able to follow it up, and took home a silver in 2007, a bronze award in 2008 and a gold award in 2011 as well as the year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia began her professional life in 2003 and won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012. She also won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship in 2016 and then the WMC and Phoenix FC World Championships in the year 2016. Antonina fought Isa Tidblad Keskikangas in her final fight at the Phoenix Fighting Championship. She took victory by an unanimous vote. Antonina Shychenko's professional MMA debut took place in 2002 at the KFK Cup of Kyrgystan when she faced Anara Bayanova. She took the win via second round TKO and also won her subsequent 2-fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled a record of 3-1. Shevchenko put on a pause from MMA to concentrate on her kickboxing and returned to the ring to fight Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa with a majority decision. She later defeated Valerie Domergue at Phoenix FC 4. She quit the promotion and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko defeated Jaimelene Nievera during Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11 Antonina used her superior fighting abilities to TKO Nievera in the clinch via knees to the body.
