Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial arts artist, and is a competitor with the UFC flyweight division. She is the older sister of the fellow UFC fighter and ex- UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her combat sport career in the form of a Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko took the title and beat Suzane Miller in the finals via one-sided decision. Antonina was able to follow it up, and took home a silver in 2007, a bronze award in 2008 and a gold award in 2011 as well as the year-end 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia began her professional life in 2003 and won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship in 2012. She earned the bonus fight of the night for this fight. Shevchenko went 1-2 during her subsequent three bouts, losing to Ariane Lipski before losing to Katlyn Chookagian and Andrea Lee.
